Abstract (EN)
Shopping is the most popular among social actions. The shopping activity, which is as old as the history of humanity, has gone beyond the fulfillment of basic needs today and has become a reflection of the consumption culture that has become widespread on a global scale. Advertisements, bright spots and presentations trying to capture the spirit of time; shopping culture and places have developed and continue to evolve with developing community life, changing production - consumption relations, globalization and widespread communication of internet. Considering that architectural activities are mainly related to human beings and shaped according to their needs, it is seen that different types of buildings have emerged for different social functions throughout history. In this context, the design of shopping spaces has created a new type of shopping center within the scope of the relationship between shopping and space. Elements such as store architecture, aisle design, interior lighting, ventilation system and the smell of the store, music played in the environment are among the important factors that directly affect the sales of the stores. Establishing a link between space design and marketing in the interaction of potential buyers with space; These are the attributes that affect the shopping action. Artificial lighting has gained vital importance due to the inability to control the daylight easily, the inward-looking structure of many shopping centers, the designs that cannot use the daylight indoors, and the fact that these structures serve until late at night. Lighting is the most important architectural component that provides visual perception in the place. Illumination determines our perceptions and reactions to the environment in harmony with the geometry of the space. Therefore, it directly affects the quality of visual perception in the space. In this study, the concept of shopping, the history of shopping and shopping venues are examined and defined. The history of artificial lighting is focused on and the role of the artificial environment in the perception of the desired perception in shopping spaces is examined. The lighting types used in artificial lighting are listed and the lighting preferences of the shopping malls located in the central districts of Antalya are examined on the basis of international accepted rules. In order to reveal mathematical data, a light meter (lux meter) was used and the amount of light was shown on the photographs of the place. The effect of lighting design in these spaces on user perception was interpreted by comparing measurements and international acceptances.
