Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to determine some water quality parameters and level of pollution in Boğaçayı, that passes through Konyaaltı district of Antalya and flows into the Mediterranean Sea. Therefore, water sampling was carried out as 2 periods in 2016 and 2017 from 12 different stations determined including Boğaçayı and the rivers that feeds this stream; Çandır river from the East and Karaman river from the North. In water samples, EC, PH, total nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), sodium (Na), nitrate (NO3-), carbonate (CO3-2), bicarbonate (HCO3-), sulphate (SO42), chlorine (Cl-), boron (B), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), arsenic (As) and mercury (Hg) were analyzed. The pH values of the water samples are class I and there are no problems that limiting the use of water in terms of pH. The water samples are medium salty and water usage for agricultural purposes should be considered. Boğaçayı should be controlled in terms of total Kjeldahl N and total phosphorus concentrations. In addition, Mg and Ca concentrations are close to the maximum limit value that can be accepted for drinking water, and it should be taken into consideration although no problem has yet been shown. It has been determined that Fe and Mn concentrations have the maximum limit value that can be accepted for drinking water in the present situation. It was also determined that the Fe, Mn, Cu, Cd, Ni, Pb and Cr concentrations of water samples taken from some stations are included in the II., III. and IV. quality classes in the classification according to "Water Pollution Control Regulation". When the boron concentrations of water samples are evaluated, attention should be paid to the boron sensitivity of the plant to be used for agricultural irrigation As a result; Boğaçayı does not have serious pollution in the current state, but it has revealed that the above-mentioned situations should be taken into consideration and it should be monitored at regular intervals
