Özet (EN)

Barite (BaSO4) is a well-known mineral with chemical composition. Barit's average grade in the earth's crust is 0,45% (Ayan 1979). It is used in various fields because of its high density of barite, its whiteness, resistance to chemical agents, absorption properties of gamma rays. It is used as a filling material in industrial paints, photo paper making, rubber and ink making, medical and health fields. It is also used in the construction sector due to its high density. Industrial raw materials and metallic mineral deposits have been identified in various fields for the industry in line with the academic projects carried out in the mining sector in Antalya region. In this study, geological and geochemical features of the barites, formation of deposits, determination of factors and conditions affecting this formation, and interpretation of origin are aimed. The geological and mineralogical analyzes of the specimens taken from the barites in the Gazipaşa region were carried out and all the obtained data were evaluated and the geochemical features were analyzed in the direction of chemical analyzes and interpreted as genetic. Geological analyzes of the rocks were evaluated, numerical data were statistically transferred to tables and statistical data were obtained between the received samples. Geological and genetic interpretations of the barite mines of ''Büyük Ocak'' barite mine, ''Boyalık Tepe'' barite mine and surrounding area in the Gazipaşa region were highlighted in the finds obtained from the surveys. It was observed that the barites located in the region within the scope of the thesis study were located within the Bıçkıcı Formation. The age of the Knife Formation was determined as Permian. The Backıcı Formation is angularly incompatible with the Çakmak Formation, which represents the oldest unit in the region. In the formation, barite ores are mostly found in dolomite and limestones in the form of veins, veins and veins. It has a thickness ranging from 4-6 meters in centimeter thickness to 50-100 meters in length. In the XRD diagrams analyzed from the study samples; Barite (98-100%) and calcite (93%), for example, taken from the side rock, are the main minerals. According to the results of XRD and XRF analysis, samples from the side rocks have low barium content and high calcite, limonite and galenite density. According to the XRD and XRF analysis results, the samples taken from the side rocks have low barium content and high calcite, limonite and galenite density. Minerals such as limonite, quartz, calcite, pyrite, galenite have been observed in the mineral assemblage towards the lower parts of the ores. Thin sections were analyzed for 5 samples taken from the region and thin sections were examined under a microscope. When thin sections are defined, it is observed that there are very large barite crystals, only quartz, galenite and pyrite crystals. According to the results of the obtained isotope analysis, the value of 34S is 20.3-22.4. The presence of the 34S value at the indicated values is indicative of the inherently synaptic environment conditions. Mineral and trace element contents, bed form and 34S isotope ratios of the barites found in the region are important factors in determining the origin of barites in the region. Ba and Sr values in calcite and dolomite, which form the side rocks of the deposits in the study area, do not show values that reflect a particularly hydrothermal formation. Observations made, observations and results obtained indicate that the origin of barites is insidious.
