Abstract (EN)

Prevention of the exploitation and losses to which the environment, nature and living things are exposed to; protection of natural resources and ecosystems; is on the increase with the number of consumers who prefer products to evaluate the design process together with the environment and human health and the number of designers who adopt designing for these purpose in line with the increase in human awareness and our developing consciousness. Animal-friendly, sustainable surface designs with ecological printing technique are documented by applying organic standards, with vegetable fiber-derived textile surfaces; to print and color, using natural dyestuffs obtained from plants and other sustainable materials and tools which is important for the protection of the environment, nature and people and animals that are part of nature. Ecological printing, which is one of the textile surface patterning techniques, allows the creation of surface designs for eco design or sustainable design philosophy, as well as original printing designs where reproducibility or uniformity is not possible. With 27 different plants grown in the climate of Antalya province and steam roll printing technique; alum, rice flour and ash mordants; using a solution of vinegar and iron; organic and % 100 cotton woven fabric surfaces; 81 ecological printing trials were carried out. Printing trials were evaluated in terms of friction (dry-wet) fastness. By determining the plants and mordants that give the best results in terms of visual and fastness values; 46 eco-friendly, nature, human and animal friendly, sustainable textile surface designs were made, in which different data were observed as a result of experimental research.
