Abstract (EN)

For 250 different locations selected in the central districts of Antalya province, including Aksu, Döşemealtı, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Muratpaşa, earthquake accelerations were compared with the equivalent earthquake load analysis method by examining the Turkish Seismic Code-1975, Turkish Seismic Code-1998 and Turkish Seismic Code-2018, which came into force in Turkey. A 5-storey reinforced concrete building was modeled using SAP2000 program in order to obtain parameters such as building period and building weight required in earthquake load calculations. The changing seismicity of Antalya province over the years and the cracked/uncracked section approach of the regulations were evaluated within the scope of the analysis. At the same time, the regional earthquake approach of TSC-1975 and TSC-1998 and the location-dependent earthquake analysis approach of TSC-2018 are examined. Within the scope of the study; 4 soil classes as Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4 for TSC-1975 and TSC-1998 and 5 soil classes as ZA, ZB, ZC, ZD, ZE for TSC-2018 are analyzed. As a result of the equivalent earthquake load analyses performed in accordance with the relevant formulations and rules within the scope of each regulation, TSC-1975 predicted the lowest earthquake forces and TSC-1998 predicted the highest earthquake forces.
