Abstract (EN)
Irrigation water alone is a vital factor in agricultural production but also it is one of the crucial inputs that affects other yield contributing factors in plant production. In this study, irrigation waters were sampled from Antalya central and Kumluca districts where greenhouses are concentrated in Antalya province and samples were analyzed. A total of 96 irrigation waters were sampled at 3 different seasonally periods (September, January and May) from irrigation waters of 32 different greenhouse farmers in the study. According to results, pH, EC, NO3, Ca and Mg were estimated respectively 6,84-8,13; 315-1698 dS/cm; 0,10-1,95 meq/lt; 3,45-9,38 meq/lt; 0,16-9,89 meq/lt independently from periods and farmers. Quality of most of greenhouse irrigation water in the costal region were determined C2S1 and C3S1; however quality of most of greenhouse irrigation water in the hinterland were determined C2S1. Generally, SAR, % Na, B, SO4 results of most samples were seen among acceptable limits but CI results of some samples were taken in the first period were seen out of limits. In this context, it is determined that irrigation water that is used in agricultural production could have very different characteristic either between districts or between farmers in the same district. Therefor it is quite essential that every farmer should analyze their irrigation water and consider its characteristic when they prepare their fertilization programs. When irrigation water characteristic taken into consideration while preparing fertilization programs, production costs can be reduced and yield and quality can be increased. In this way, both farmers' and country's economy might be improved. Likewise, results were obtained in this study can be applied other irrigated agricultural lands.
