The Effect of different irrigation programmes on the growt and evapotranspiration of young pistachio tres

Pistachio has recently been started to be irrigated in our country. All irrigation up to now had been done only on yielding trees. The aim of the present work was to grow to the young trees quickly to reach sufficient diameter for budding after germination and sowing. So, the irrigation programme of the undertaken research was composed of 2 rootstock varieties, 4 plant-pan coefficient and 4 different irrigation schedules. P. vera rootstock had shown the best result based on single irrigation development. The highest stem growth was determined with Kcpl=0.50 and at seven days for interval. Seasonal water consumption was 491 mm, the highest water consumption was 230 mm in July. The actual Kcpl coefficient was determined to be 0.46.
