Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the development of a semi-solid formulation with wound healing effect by using vesicular systems has been studied by using antimicrobial peptides. Vesicular systems were selected to extend the duration of action of antimicrobial peptides on the wound and to increase their stability. Improvements were made on niosome form throughout the study and optimal formulation was tried to be achieved. In order to reach the most suitable formulation, determination of wound healing dose in vitro in cell culture; microscopic observations, measurements of particle size and distrubution, zeta potential measurements, differential scanning calorimetry mesaurements, scanning electron microscopy imagining in niosome characterization; pH and rheology measurements, dissolution studies, stability investigations and release kinetic modelling in semi-solid formulation characterization were completed. Keywords: Semi-solid, antimicrobial peptide, hBD-3, LL-37, vesicular systems, niosome, wound, wound healing.
