Development of a mobile supported information tracking system used by coaches for exercise consultancy

Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in order to develop a mobile application, which can be expressed as a trainer's notebook, in which the training programs of the trainers for individuals who receive exercise counseling are kept regularly. The study population consisted of the sample of trainers in Turkey, 40 coaches working in different gyms in Adana, female 14 (35%) age x̄=28.21± 5.83 years and male 26 (65%) age x̄=29.11±6.08 make up the year. Android Studio 4.0.1 program was used in the application development process. It is designed for Android operating system users. In this study, the design and development research method was used. It has been developed based on the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation steps of the ADDIE Model, which is a design model. The "Mobile Application Usability Scale", " Continued Intention to Use Scale", "Mobile Application Usage Loyalty Scale" were applied to the coaches using the application. SPSS 22.0 package program was used in the analysis of the data. Shapiro-Wilk test was applied to determine whether the data were normally distributed. While evaluating the study data, descriptive statistics were used in the demographic characteristics of the participants, and percentage, frequency and average values were taken. Cronbach Alpha, Mann Whitney-U test, Kruskal Wallis test, Pearson correlation test were used to evaluate the variables of Mobile Application Usability, Mobile Application Usage Willingness and Mobile Application Usage Loyalty scales applied to trainers. Results p<0.05 and below values were considered statistically significant. Participants; When the data collected on Mobile Application Usability (x̄=5.87±.81), Mobile Application Usage Willingness (x̄=5.28±.85), Mobile Application Loyalty (x̄=6.13± .98) levels are examined, it has a high mean. has been found to be.As a result, the trainers who participated in the study for the mobile application, which we can describe as a trainer's notebook; It has been concluded that the 'usability' of the developed mobile application is positive, their willingness to use the mobile application is positive and they tend to continue using the mobile application.
