Evaluating the apartment entrances in house-user interaction and the example of Eski̇şehi̇r Bahçeli̇evler

In the historical process house has evolving with human and in accordance with the human needs. In a residential area houses become pieces of a higher wholeness by connecting the outside world through entrance, while creating their own wholeness by isolated from the outside world through walls. At this point, house entrance which is shaped by human needs and becomes as a part of the wholeness gains its importance in the process of meeting the needs and establishing relationships with the wholeness. In this research which is for the purpose of bring emphasis on the importance of satisfying the human needs in house-user interaction by space design, the entrance of single-storey with garden houses and multi-storey apartements in Eskişehir Bahçelievler Area is evaluated. It attempted to establish the theoretical basis by analyzing; in the first part the concept of entrance space, its meanings and evolutions in historical process; in the second part as a type of house the apartement's entrance and its first examples; in the thirth part the factors of house entrance design and from these factors as a user of house human needs. In the fourth part it is evaluated over the theoretical basis the field study which is carried out in Eskişehir Bahçelievler Area. Key Words:entrance, house, apartment, Maslow, human needs
