Abstract (EN)

In todays changing and developing world, in order to get the competition advantages; the firms must have different properties which make them unique when compared with others. In this point R&D, learning capability and Innovation, ensuring different advantages are became key issues. The purpose of this study is to observe the effects of R&D and learning capabilities on firm innovativeness. Within this study; by using survey methodology data are collected from 301 firms in Istanbul and around that have R&D. As a result of collected datas; it is understood that learning capability and portfolio managment which is one of the dimensions of R&D have positive and meaningful statistical effects on firm innovativeness. It is also understood that the innovation strategy,R&D investment and project performance which are another dimensions of R&D have no statistical and meaningful effect on firm innovativeness. Based on these datas, it may be said that firms should give importance to learning capability and portfolio management in order to be able to get the competition advantages and to contribute their innovation strategies.
