Özet (EN)
Air pollution caused by motor vehicles is among the primary contributors to urban air pollution both in Turkey and globally. Among various environmental stressors, traffic-related pollution has significant effects on plant physiology. In this study, Lavandula spp. (lavender), a plant whose economic and ecological value has increased substantially in recent years, was selected as the model organism. The research was conducted at the Uluyazı Campus of Çankırı Karatekin University, where samples were collected from two distinct areas: one characterized by the absence of vehicle traffic (clean site) and the other exposed to continuous vehicular activity (polluted site). The objective was to investigate the physiological responses of lavender to air pollution originating from traffic emissions.
