Abstract (EN)
An extensive spreading of the Internet of Things (IoT) concept is still a hot topic for the research. Practical applications of IoT in daily life became an integral part of it: vehicle maintenance, surveillance systems, healthcare etc. The significant impact on the supply chain can be given by the example of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags letting retails save time and money on lost/damaged items. Undoubtedly, perpetual development of technology and global circumstances as COVID-19 pandemic urges firms to adopt new technologies and change the strategies. Thus, identifying challenges that prevent implementing IoT in the supply chain in order to determine their corresponding solutions, is of utmost importance. After performing a review of the most recent literature we identified five main criteria: cost, technology, security, business, and quality and their relevant subcriteria. By applying multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) tool analytical hierarchy process (AHP) in combination with interval-valued neutrosophic numbers we interviewed top experts in this field. Neutrosophic sets are known for their precision in comparison with crisp and fuzzy sets; interval-valued number sets let us to have even more precise results in evaluating weights of criteria since it provides not only truthmembership, indeterminacy-membership and falsity-membership function but also an upper and lower level for each. The critical part of this research is that we separately evaluated answers before the global pandemic and after, considering its effect on the whole supply chain performance. Evaluating judgements of decision-makers revealed that business-related concerns were and still are most important whereas unexpectedly security concerns were of least importance.
