Damage tensile behavior under internal pressure of composite pipes formed with aramid fiber and glass fiber

Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to investigate the stress and damage behavior of composite pipes formed by aramid fibers placed between glass fiber layers with a winding angle of ± 55° under internal pressure. A total of 12 composite pipes were produced with 4 different composite materials prepared using glass fiber and aramid fiber. The first composite material is 4 layers of glass fiber. The second and third composite materials consist of 3 layers of glass fiber and 1 layer of aramid fiber. The fourth composite material is intermediate 2 layers aramid fiber and the outer 2 layers are glass fiber. Composite pipes produced with these materials were subjected to internal pressure, and damage conditions were examined. As a result of the investigation, it was observed that composite pipe composed of 2 layers of glass fiber and 2 layers of aramid fiber had the highest damage pressure.
