The rapprochement between United Arab Emirates and Israel inthe post-Arab Spring

Following the Israel's declaration of independence in 1948, a long war period began between Israel and Arab countries. The war broke out after the establishment of Israel and lasted until Arab-Israel war in 1973 (Yom Kippur War); however, the Arabs couldn't achieve any success. Israel had signed a peace treaty between Egypt in 1978 and then Jordan in 1994 after a long war period. Then, a peace treaty was signed between Israel and United Arab Emirates which is another Middle East country. Even though there has never been a war or conflict between countries, this signed agreement played a significant role in recent years. Nowadays, this normalization with the Abraham Accords in 2020, has led to the beginning of a new era in the Middle East. In the last decade, the geopolitical changes happened in this region also changed the perception of threat of the Gulf monarchies. Therefore, it has been determined that the effects of the Abraham Accords on the Middle East by utilizing news, documents, articles and books in this study. Moreover, the past and present status of the relationship between the Arab and Israel State was systematically evaluated in this study. Regional powers that have the potential to be influential in the region, the approaches of international actors are also discussed. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects the global and regional of the relations between the State of Israel with Arab countries, especially United Arab Emirates. Relations between Arab countries and Israel State with its establishments and the aspects of these relations have been differentially examined. It has been extensively determined that how the global and regional actors that are effective in the Middle East affect the relations and the normalization process between Israel and the UAE. The data of this study that has been comprehensively discussed the rapprochement of these countries and therefore improving relations will significantly contribute to literature.
