Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the global climate change and its effects on the water sources in the Middle East Region, particularly the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Syrian Arab Republic, after the "Arab Spring". This thesis focuses on the "water problems" in terms of water scarcity, water safety, food shortages and food safety. It is often said that the Arab Spring has brought many important social, economic and demographic changes to the region. But the changes in the aftermath of the Arab Spring regarding the water problems are understudied. This study aims to help better understand these issues and fill that void. Global warming and its effects on the water sources are also included in the analysis of the region's two countries facing different water problems, the Arab Republic of Egypt and Syrian Arab Republic, have been studied. This study argues that the global climate change has further exacerbated the water problems in the aforementioned countries. Key Words: Climate Change, Water Problem, Arab Spring, Egypt, Syria
