Semantic development in Arabic language (The book of Ibn Mâlik Ikmâlu'l-İ'lâm bi Teslîsi'l-Kelâm a sample)

The research is an attempt to identify the phenomenon of semantic development in its three manifestations-which the modern linguists have explained (customization, generalization and the transfer of significance) in the book (İkmâlu'l-İ'lâmbi Teslîsi'l-Kelâm) to İbn Mâlik. The research has monitored the development of some of the trigonometric words that mentioned by İbn Mâlik in his book, besides to that, the research is basing on these words, by indicating its origin through the reference to the most important dictionaries and language books, by analyzing the meaning of the word and the form it has been taken from ,the development of the allocation, (Metaphor and metaphor) by explaining the relationship that concluded from the involvement of real and figurative stakeholders, all this was in line with the modern linguistic lesson and his attitude towards this semantic development. The research also focused on the meaning and the study of it which leaded the research to the following results of are: that the words in the Arabic language in a constant development because of social development, and it can be said that there is a basis for the development of semantic different manifestations in the books of the ancients, and this is what the research sought to emphasize by monitoring the manifestations of the development of all kinds of semantic books of ancient books.
