Al-Maf'ul al-Mutlaq in Arabic language and its use in holy Qur'an

This study focuses on al-maf'ul al-mutlaq which is used as a means of clarifying the action in various ways and has a characteristic that is different from other objectives with its use unique to Arabic language and rethoric. The main content of the current research consists of the place of al-maf'ul al-mutlaq in the grammar literature, the meanings in the context of relationship with amil and its use in Holy Qur'an. The main objective of the current study is to determine the different functions of the element in terms of language and expression by adhering to the origin of the concepts and terms entered in the literature on al-maf'ul al-mutlaq. In the first chapter of the study, which is presented in three main chapters, the process of al-maf'ul al-mutlaq in conceptual and historical context is discussed. Firstly, some of the terms used by the previous linguists regarding al-maf'ul al-mutlaq were found out. Then, al-maf'ul al-mutlaq terms mentioned in the grammar books are transferred and the arguments put forward regarding the nature and scope of the element are analysed from a holistic perspective. In the second chapter, al-maf'ul al-mutlaq classification in the axis of meanings and the different functions of the expressions assuming this function in the sentence and the resulting meaning framework are discussed in detail. The expressions in the aspect of al-naib an al-mastar, who share al-maf'ul al-mutlaq role with al-mastar, have been examined under an independent title according to the classification. In the third chapter, what kind of meanings al-maf'ul al-mutlaq presents in Qur'an and how it is analysed in the context of Ayahs is tried to be explained with examples on the subject in the classifications made in the previous chapter. In the current study which is based on qualitative research method, the source of the analysed data is based on literature analysis. Moreover, it has been demonstrated that al-maf'ul al-mutlaq has a wide range of use both in Arabic language and the Qur'an with its functionality in language and expression.
