Abstract (EN)

This study aims to provide practical benefit to the spoken language, by describing of the nature, types and contexts of discourse in the Arabic language. In this study that used descriptive, inferential and pragmatic methods, the nature and function of the discourse, its levels and characteristics, its contexts and requirements are generally examined. In this study which consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusion and appendices; the first part discussed the qualities of Arabic and discourse language, the second part classed the levels of discourse, the third part briefly introduced the contexts of discourse. Finally, by the original sample texts given in the appendices, what has been described is embodied. By this study which has benefited from the data of the science of linguistic stylistics, it is hoped that it will be useful for learning Arabic language and effectively communicating for its speakers and non native speakers.
