The effect of the beverse face learning model on the academic success and attitudes of 9th grade students in Arabic teaching

The aim of this research is to reveal the effect of the Flipped Learning Model (TYÖM) on the academic achievement and attitudes of the 9th grade students of AİHL. The research was handled with a quasi-experimental design with pre-test, post-test experimental and control groups, which are quantitative research methods. The achievement test and the Arabic attitude scale used in the research are measurement tools for which reliability and validity analyzes were made by Tetik (2022). Whether the achievement test is suitable for the achievements in the "My School and My Friends" unit was evaluated by three academicians who are experts in the field of Arabic language and an assessment and evaluation expert. Expert opinions are that the achievement test is applicable. The owner of the attitude scale and academic achievement test was contacted via e-mail, and after the necessary permissions were obtained, it was used in the research. Experimental and control group (n=29) consisted of twenty-nine students in total. Since IHL is divided into male and female imam hatip schools in most provinces and districts, all the students in the study are male students. The research was carried out for a total of five weeks, four hours a week. The researcher explained the "Eddpuzzle" application as a TYMÖ tool in detail to the experimental group and delivered the ready-made videos about the unit to the students with this tool. The SPSS 22 package program was used in the analysis of the data and analysed with an independent t-test. When evaluated in terms of the results of the research, the post-test scores of the experimental and control group students were compared and no statistically significant difference was found between them. There is a similar situation between the Arabic attitude scale post-tests of the experimental and control groups. When both groups are compared, it is seen that there is no significant difference between the results.
