Abstract (EN)

Writing skill, which is one of the four basic language skills, is to transfer one's emotions and thoughts to the article with a certain accumulation. However, writing is not only limited to providing information on any subject, but also has the aim of creating an aesthetic pleasure on the opposite side. The texts written in order to awaken this aesthetic taste in the person contain many literary arts. One of these arts is the depiction art frequently encountered in genres such as novels, stories and poetry. Description; It is a type of expression that allows the narration (person, object, space, etc.) to be played in the mind of the other party. In lessons such as writing skills and written expression, students often write simple and simple sentences that are far from imagining and do not include depiction expressions that emphasize creativity. The purpose of this research is to examine the depiction elements in novels, the features and structures of depictions, and to prepare activity designs for the development of writing skills in Arabic teaching. In this context, the novels of 'Asru'l-Hubb (Time of Love) and Bahâ Tâhir's Vâhatu'l-Gurûb (Sunset in Exile) by Necîb Mahfûz, one of the leading Arab writers, were examined in terms of depiction. In the light of the depiction items obtained from the novels, suggestions on the usability of teaching writing skills and design of depiction based writing activities are presented. Keywords: Arabic Literature, Writing Skills, Creativity, Description, Depiction
