The sustainability of organizations depends on their operational efficiency which primarily requires the mention of the employee productivity, the most important source of organizations. One of the factors affecting the concept productivity, which is vital for organizations, is the issue of presenteeism, which means not being able to fulfill the responsibilities, although the employees do their jobs. The primary aim of the current study is to demonstrate the relationship between the perceptions of the presenteeism and organizational support that are effective in the productivity of research assistants. Additionally, the current study aims at determining whether there is a difference between the levels of presenteeism and perceived organizational support according to the demographic characteristics of research assistants. Throughout these aims, the present study was carried out with the research assistants at Zonguldak Bulent Ecevit University. The data obtained from 202 questionnaires were analyzed by parametric test techniques. According to the results, the levels of perceived organizational support of research assistants have a partial effect on the presenteeism. Also, the results indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the degree of task completion of presenteeism and the gender and the perception of convention support, which are among the independent variables in the questionnaire; gender, the age variable, education level, the perception of convention support, the institute and the sub-dimensions of perceived organizational support.
