Abstract (EN)

In land consolidation studies, top soil texture, depth, slope and other soil properties are used as criteria for land evaluation. The boron element production in the areas with high boron content of soils such as Aydın province acts as a limiting feature. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate whether the boron content of soils in a selected consolidation area in Aydın is a criterion for land evaluation in other soil properties. Soil samples taken from the determined consolidation area on a parcel basis were concluded by physical and chemical analysis. As a result of the analyzes, Boron contents of the study area soils were found to be lower than expected. Therefore, the boron content is tried to be simulated on the basis of the boron limit values prescribed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, General Directorate of Agricultural Production and Development, Soil and Land Classification Standards Technical Instruction and Related Legislation. The data obtained from the analyzes were used to evaluate the effect of boron content by using boron values assigned for simulation in land evaluation. As a result, boron content was examined in the stockless, light boron, medium boron and high boron classes, and parcel mean values were determined in the grading and these values decreased in high boron parcels.
