Özet (EN)

This study aimed to retrospectively investigate and to present midterm and longterm results of the operations with the PCL retaining and substituting total knee arthroplasthy. In this study, 59 knees of the 54 patients were evaluated, who treated with PCL retaining total knee arthroplasthy between June 2006- June 2014 and 80 knees of the 61 patients were evaluated who treated with PCL substituting total knee prothesis in our clinic. The mean age of this study was 67,4 (54-82). 51 of the 54 patients were operated thereby primer ostheoarthritis and 3 patients were operated because of romatoid arthritis. Mean age was between 42-85. (mean 65.4). 59 of 61 patients were operated because of primer ostheoartritis and 1 of 61 romatoid arthritis and 1 of 61 seconde osteoarthritis. Our patients were evaluated according to American Knee Society Score and functional score. Radiological evaluation was performed according to Total Knee Arhroplasthy Radiological Evaluotion Criteria. Knee score was 36-72 (mean 48,4) before the surgery, 76-100 (mean 93,3) after the surgery in PCL retaining group. In PCL substituting group knee score was 38-71 (mean 43.7) before the surgery, knee score was 78-100 after the surgery. Functional score was 31,2 (15-60) prior to the surgery and 84,8 (60-100) subsequently in PCL retaining group. In PCL substituting group knee function score was 10-60 (mean 35.08) before the surgery and knee function score was 60-100 (mean 82.2) after the surgery In one case we had a revision total knee surgery because of the late infection of the knee in PCL retaining group an one case revised because of genitouriner system enfection in PCL substituting group. As a result with PCL retaining and substituting knee prothesis we can obtain good results. In this study we find mean range of motion difference between two groups. PCL retaining or substituting total knee arthroplasthy are favorable orthopaedic procedure when performed with adequate patients, in an adequate operating room with actual surgical techniques by the experienced surgeons.
