Abstract (EN)

The aim of our study is to analyze the relations of the Ottoman with the Caucasian judges in the light of the examples of Sheikh Şamil and Imam Mansur and archive documents. While analyzing the diplomatic relations that constitute the content of our research, it will be evaluated by considering the conditions of the period. Considering the diplomatic correspondence of the Ottoman during the period of Imam Mansur, it is obvious that there was less relationship in the period of Sheikh Şâmil. Because, even with the emergence of Imam Mansur, a tight intelligence network was established to obtain detailed information about who he was. Some of the events that took place within the Ottoman Empire were the main reasons for the insufficient assistance and diplomatic correspondence during the period of Sheikh Şamil. On the other hand, the biggest factor in this is that European states, especially Russia, set up plans against the State. As a result of the archive documents conclusion that diplomatic relations during the period of Imam Mansur were more intense compared to the period of Imam Shamil.
