Researching the material which affects the concept as an expression language in example of housing in art deco design movement

The internal design process is shaped within a certain system of thought from the beginning to the end. Correctly structured ideas and their consistency in design determine the quality of the product to be produced. Therefore, defining the design based on the concepts makes the choices regarding the form and material to be made in the subsequent processes meaningful. The concept data that give definition to the design is fed by factors such as geographic location, social culture structure and understanding of art. The currents that have emerged within the framework of these factors and influencing the design form the interface of space design which we can express as concept. Within the design interface, the properties of the material tell us the clues about the space and the points of origin and design of each element in it. At this point, questioning the relations of material in a style that is prominent with strong form and pattern features like Art Deco will enable us to understand the subject better. The aim of this study is to understand how the concept of material is constructed by the conceptual and physical structure of Art Deco style in interior design and how it is reflected in interior spaces by analyzing it on the housing samples.
