In the research, among the handcrafts made in Artvin city Ardanuç county suggestion are chosen as the subjecct of the research. Questions were prepared to learn about the technical specifications, used colors, ornament subjects, used tool and devices, composition features and starching techniques. At the result of the made examination it is found out that the people who make lace are all women, they are between the ages 26-30. It is also specified that the people who make lace at the county are mostly high school graduates and working, and that they have learned to make lace usually from their mothers and they knit lace to fill in their spare times. It is observed that the individuals benefit from the previously made model, they preferred plant ornament motives, and they usually apply tidy order compositions. It is also observed that the individuals usually use hooked needle with nylon thread by using lively colors.It is observed that individuals use tools like hook needle, needle, hairpin, shuttle and equipment like stamp, beads, drips depending on the model and set the lace on proportion.
