Abstract (EN)
Six Clarias gariepinus collected from each of the four stations selected from the drainage channels in Seyhan plain were used to determine the sera glucose, protein, electrolyte and cortisole levels together with blood hematocrite levels and erythrocyte numbers.Highest levels of sera glucose and cortisole levels were determined at Eski Baraj station while highest levels of Na and Cl and lowest levels of K were found at Abdioğlu station. No difference was found between the stations in the number of erythrocytes whereas percentage of hematocrite was highest at Sasa station. Sera protein was lowest at Abdioğlu and highest at Eski baraj station. The variation in blood parameters were possibly due to different stress conditions among stations.
