Social gender at ashgar farhadi cinema: A research about movies of fireworks Wednesday, about elly, a separation

Cinema Iran which was advanced in the light of political, cultural and social events that affects history of Iran take an important place in the world cinema. Asghar Farhadi who is one of the last period directors of Cinema Iran, has realistic approach in his stories and has a distinctive sinematic expression had a great international success with his films. We can see general properties of Iran cinema in his films and also see sections of daily life. When we evaluate his films in character base, it gets out of apprehension of message. In Asghar Farhadi films, own dynamics of Iran cinema, director‟s sinematic style, periods of Iran history are presented all in all. Men and women who have different cultural properties meet at the same ground, being man or woman means different responsibilities for each other and some factors are matter of in Farhadi films. The director leaves results to audience. One of the important part of connection is media because it‟s impact area is wide. Media supports gender. Cinema, which is assessed a part of the media, consolidates this gender term. Roles of character,having a position in the society, representation of characters in the cinema can be assessed appearing of male-dominated system. In Farhadi cinema, items of woman and man, attitudes in the society, and items of gender is examined elaborately. Especially; at subject of this study which is "Fireworks Wednesday, About Elly, A Seperation" films, explicit of gender‟s roles point out. It was seen that in spİte of being different cultural, social classification, they act with same viewpoint at these films. Using of camera, composition, cinematic representation criticize that the situation of main ideology on the social order. At this study, chosen films was examined by method of content analysis. We examined that the thesis of criticization of male dominated ıdeology and tried to find trueness of this thesis.
