ABSTRACT Msc THESIS AN INVESTIGATION ON SOME PHYSICAL, CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF ORONTES RIVER (ANTAKYA) Melt em TAŞDEMİR (DURAL) DEPARTMENT OF FISHERIES INSTITUTE OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF ÇUKUROVA Supervisor: Assoc.Prof. M.Z.Lugal GÖKSU Yıl: 1998, Sayfa:45 Jury: Yrd.Doç.Dr.M.Z.Lugal GÖKSU Prof.Dr. Ercan SARIHAN Yrd.Doç.Dr. Sevim POLAT This resarch has been carried out in Asi river which is very important wetlands of Hatay, in order to determine pollution level. This research completed within a period of 12 months and during this time, the samples have been taken from Asi river 12 times. Water quality paremeters which are DO, pH, Temparature, Conductivity, COD, Ammonia nitrojen, Nitrite nitrojen, Nitrate nitrojen, Suspended solids, Phosphate, Silisyum, Hardness have been measured. According to the results of this research, it has been suggested that, although Asi river might be under a risk of pollution it classified as low polluted water.
