Abstract (EN)
In this study, the inhibition efficiencies of 2-aminothiazole-2-hydroxy-1-naphtaldimine have been investigated for the zinc surface in acidic media with different concentrations. The corrosive properties have been compared in the presence of inhibitor and in the absence of inhibitor. The inhibition efficiencies have not decreased proportionally, sometimes it gives maximum peaks related to the concentration increaments periodically. The effects of concentration and pH on inhibition efficiency of Schiff base have been studied. The inhibition efficiencies of Schiff base depend on; changed proton bonding degree with pH values in acidic media, density of cathodic interface and concentration of Schiff base with proton, pH changes on zinc surface in aqua corrosive media, expires of interaction. we can say that behaves as anodic, cathodic or mixing inhibitorKey Words: Zinc, corrosion, elekctrochemical method, Schiff base
