Abstract (EN)
Since the beginning of human existence, people have preferred to express their emotions and thoughts in various ways. The first expressions of humanity to convey emotions were drawings on cave walls or rhyming words that sounded pleasant, devoid of concerns for form and shape. As human life evolved from primitiveness to civilization, individuals also created works of art while considering aesthetic sensibilities. They expressed themselves through writing or drawing at times and through oral means at other times. The tradition of minstrelsy, rooted in religious rituals, gradually transformed to adapt to social changes and developments, assuming the mission of being the voice of the people's emotions and thoughts. These minstrels, who were the spokespersons of their communities, emerged prominently with their poems in various themes, sometimes religious, sometimes sociological, and sometimes individual. In this study, the hermeneutic method, which focuses on the process of deciphering the hidden meanings beyond the apparent content and significance in poetry, is employed. Within this context, the dimensions of the theme of the transience/impermanence of the world, which is one of the fundamental issues in Turkish poetry, are examined within the context of minstrel-style Turkish poetry. Although the transience of the world is generally depicted in poems with expressions like "The world did not belong to Sultan Süleyman, it won't belong to you either," it has been determined that this uniformity is transcended when analyzed based on the era in which the poems were written and the biographies of the poets. KEY WORDS: Âşık Style Poetry Tradition, transiency- eternal, presenceabsence, death
