Abstract (EN)

Aşık Yaşar Reyhani was born in 1934 in Avlar village of Pasinler County in Erzurum. He was the third son of Recep Efendi and Yıldız.Reyhani could not complete primary education due to financial difficulties, which caused him to closely follow minstrel conversations that he was interested in.Yaşar Reyhani had a dream when he was thirteen years old and in his dream a spiritual master gave him a bead. This was the first factor making him ready for becoming a minstrel. Then, he fell in love with a girl named Hate, which made him recite his first poem.Until eighteen years old Reyhani recited other minstrels? poems and after eighteen years old he started reciting his own poems.Until the appellation ?Reyhani? was offered to him by Hicrani who was regarded as a master by him, Reyhani recited his poems using the appellation ?Dertli?.Reyhani, traveling all around the world, worked hard to spread minstrelsy and keep it alive.Reyhani wrote all is poems in syllabic meter and used ryhmes and redif. Reyhani, mentioning various themes such as love, missing and nature in his poems, also mentioned problems of the public in his poems.Reyhani lived in Erzurum for long years; however, due to faithlessness of his own hometown, he emigrated to Bursa in 1991 and died there in 10.December.2006.
