The Vahdet-nâme Masnawi of Aşkî Mustafa Efendi (text-content-analysis)

In this thesis, named ?the Vahdet-nâme Masnawi of Askî Mustafa Efendi (Text-Content-Analysis)?, we have at first tried to present the criticized text of Askî?s masnawi and then analyzed it according to religious and mystical literature. The thesis consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the introduction, to be more understandable, we have given informations about political and cultural life in the nineteenth century, the style of masnawi, Askî Mustafa Efendi?s life story, his personality and his studies. In the first chapter, significance of Askî?s Vahdet-nâme was emphasized by submitting the content of Vahdet-nâme. Then, religious and mystical ideas in Vahdet-nâme were analyzed. In the chapter two, the characterizations of various copied manuscripts of Vahdet-nâme were examined and the method followed by us in constructing the text of the masnawi was explained. In addition, this chapter includes a critical edition we have made (criticized text) regarding the Vahdet-nâme.
