It was determinedthat the benthic fauna of the lake consist of six animal classis; Bivalvia, Gastropoda,Demospongiae, Crustacea, Oligochaeta, Insecta and belonging 22 species of these. Itwas found that the annual mean value of profundal fauna as the individial numberper m2 was 1775,73±154,33. Of these 56,88% were Oligochaeta and 43,12% wereChironomidae species.Key Words: Benthic Fauna, Chironomidae, Oligochaeta, Aslantaş Dam Lake.II
