Abstract (EN)
67 ABSTRACT Restoration of weakened teeth with single roots which were endodontically treated must be tried to reinforce remaining tooth structure while at the same time achieve the greatest retention and resistance form from selected teeth. Recently ceramic and fiber posts which are non-metallic have been used for esthetic requirements instead of metallic posts. The aim of this study was to investigate the fracture strength of 3 post systems cemented with a dual cure composite resin luting cement by using three different adhesive systems. In this study 63 teeth with single roots were prepared and filled. Then teeth were randomly divided into 3 groups. In the first group titanium posts (Filpost) were placed into the canals. In the second group glass fiber posts (Mirafit White) were placed into the canals and in the third group ceramic posts (Cosmopost) were used. A dual cured resin cement (Rely X ARC) and three different bonding agents (Single Bond, Clearfil SE Bond, Prompt L Pop) were used for bonding the posts into the root canals. Then cores were made by a composite resin (Clearfil Photocore). The samples were thermocycled at 5 and 55 °C for 500 times. The samples were tested in the test machine (Llyod) for 1 mm/min. It can be concluded that the differences between the post groups were differed changed related to adhesive systems. There were no statistically difference between post systems. However zirconia posts showed greater strength than other groups. For all bond groups Mirafit White was found more resistant to fracture than other groups, however Filpost was found least resistant.
