Abstract (EN)

Obesity or fatness is the result of the storage of excess fat due toseveral reasons. It is one of the biggest problems of our century since it createsmany health related problems. Excess weight problem leads to many financialand psychological problems.The purpose of the study: to give 45 day training on Neuro LingusiticProgramming (NLP) to people facing overweight and obesity problems for 45days; to assess the effects of their eating habits and to compare; the resultswhen supported with exercise. Individuals were chosen among volunteaersfacing overweight and obesity problems. 200 people, whose body mess indexwas over 25.0 were sepaerated into 4 groups and examined. 1st group; NLP,2nd group; Exercise, 3rd group; NLP+exercise, 4th group; was the controlgroup. At the beginning, each group was compoted of somembers. NLP groupattendants had NLP trainings for 45 days twice a week. The exercise groupattendants were given a 45 day program during which they performed aerobicexercises three times a week. NLP +exercise group attendants had both anNLP training twice a performed 45 minute aerobic exercises three times a week.The control group members weren?t given any treatment, but they were onlyobserved if they went on their routine eating habits. At the end of this studythere were 29 people in NLP group, 19 people in exercise group, 39 people inNLP+exercise group, and 32 people in control group left. Their fat ratios weredetermired by a body composition analyzer. The results of this study showedthat after NLP trainings, the eating habits and the body weight of the NLP andNLP+exercise groups have positively changed.Key words: Obesity, excess weight, NLP (neuro linguistic programming),exercise, slimming, eating habits, behavioral change
