Abstract (EN)

This study is conducted to compare the similarities and differences of health care staff, patients and patients' relatives by determining their health literacy level. 150 health care personnel who serve in a state hospital, 250 patients and/or their relatives who applied to the hospital for health service are included in this definitive study. The analysis of the data gathered is done through percent frequency, percent arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test, chi test on SPSS. The results of the study show that possession of a higher education level does not necessarily purport to a high level of health literacy and that unconscious health approaches caused by insufficient health literacy, violence in health sector, ineffective utilization of health service are affected by low level health literacy. Key Words : Patient and patient relatives, health workers, health promotion and development, health literacy, questionnaire, reliability.
