Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate the seminal fluid analysis before and after sperm activation in vitro and evaluated the level of lead and ROS. The results the age range was 21 - 52 years while the age means recorded 32.84 years, whereas BMI range was 16.9 - 41.80 kg, BMI mean recorded 28.03 kg. The results of the effect of sperm activation/sperm concentration and total sperm motility showed that sperm activation techniques varied in their effect on sperm concentration and total sperm motility which lead to a significant decrement in the concentration of sperm after activation. Data showed significant differences in the mean of three tested parameters (sperm immotile, total progressive motility, and normal sperm motility), and the results revealed a significant increment in the mean of sperm immotile after sperm activation. Data of Pearson correlation showed that there is a positive correlation between sperm and lead level, this technique significantly decrements the non-progressive motility. Also, the results showed a significant decrement in the mean of total progressive motility which lead to a decrease in the mean from 61.50 sperm×106/mL in treatment before sperm activation to 49.97 sperm×106/mL in treatment after sperm activation, whereas results showed a significant elevation in the mean of normal sperm motility which recorded 55.79 sperm×106/mL in treatment after sperm activation as compared to 44.67 before sperm activation.
