Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the asthma control perception scale in terms of validity and reliability.The study sample consists of 152 patients who met the research criteria and applied to the chest diseases polyclinic of a training and research hospital.The research was conducted between 01.12.2021 and 31.01.2022 using the sociodemographic data form and the perceived control of asthma questionnaire.Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics V23 and AMOS package program.Significance level p < 0.05 was accepted.41.4% of the patients participating in the study were (n=63),58.6% were female (n=89).The education level of the patients was 38.2% at primary education level.The value of the Kaiser –Meyer –Olkin (KMO) test,which was used to test the suitability of the sample size for factorization, was 0.880 before the exploratory analysis application.When the goodness-of-fit indices of the Asthma Control Perception Scale (ASAS) are examined; RMSEA 0.058;GFİ 0.92/8;CFI; It was found to be 0.928, χ2:1.507.(p=0.000).The Cronbach Alpha value for the entire scale is 0.85.According to the research findings,it has been concluded that the Asthma Control Perception Scale (ASAS) has high validity and realibility for the Turkish population and is a suitable measurement tool to evaluate the asthma control perceptions of the patients.
