Abstract (EN)

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of airways in which numerous inflammatory cells and mediators have some role.İn Asthmatic patients secreted cytokines and various mediators due to pulmonary vasoconstriction,bronchoconstriction in developing airway epithelium and vascular proliferation occurs. Endothelin and PDGF plays an important role in the tissue damage. As a result of pulmonary hypertension and cardiac function weakening may occur in patients with asthma.The tissue Doppler echocardiographic study showed right ventricular dysfunction that is positively correlated with the severity of asthma. Acute asthma attack may occur in ventricular function in patients with tissue Dopplerechocardiography done is to detect changes.İn this study includes 80 asthmatic children. Patients with severe and moderate asthma attacks mean pulmonary artery pressures were higher in the group with mild asthma. Exhaled air samples evaluated endothelin-1 and PDGF-BB compared with the group with severe asthma exacerbations was higher than the other groups. Mean pulmonary artery pressure in direct proportion with the increase in inflammatory cytokines were significantly higher asthma attacks and Echocardiography, Doppler echocardiography end EBC can be used as a noninvasive alternative to the invasive procedures. It can also be used in the future studies
