Foreign policy of The Assyrian State (neo-assyrian period)

The Assyrian State followed a conscious and cruel policy against foreign enemies in Neo-Assyrian period. This policy created an ?empire of fear?. The Neo-Assyrian kings dominated over a great geography from Mesopotamia to Anatolia and from Iran to Mediterraean states.Anatolia had a primary position in the foreign policy of Assyrian State. In comparison with the other states, the Assyrian kings followed a moderate policy against Babylonian.
