Abstract (EN)

The effective use of natural resources is an important research topic in recent years. In this context, both the cost and the environmental benefit have increased recycling efforts in many areas and have accelerated the use of waste asphalt in the asphalt sector. In this thesis study, performance of a new mixture was analysed which is obtained from asphalt pavements that have completed their economic lives if they can be recycled in Antalya region. Reuse of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and chip-sealed pavements in bituminous treated base were evaluated by taking into account the criteria in the Republic of Turkey General Directorate of Highways Technical Specification 2013. In the experimental studies, new Marshall mix samples were prepared from these materials in various ratios; such as, RAP (10%, 20%, 30%) and chip-sealed pavement (10%). Two types of bitumen, B70/10 and B100/150 were used. Marshall experiments, indirect tensile test (ITS), Cantabro and fatigue test were applied to prepared mixtures. The performance of asphalt mixtures were examined by using obtained data from these experiments. The 30KA-70/100 sample was accepted as the best sample; since, it satisfies all the specification criteria and because of its high performance score.
