Özet (EN)

Every year, hundreds of millions vehicle tires become waste due to their product (service) life. To prevent the global environment and healthcare problems these waste tires are used in concrete. The aim of the study is producing polymer concretes with waste rubber and polymer additives which have become so popular in recent years. In the study by replacing 0-4mm sieve range waste rubber aggregates in different ratios (%0, %5, %10, %15 and %20 by volume) instead of the fine aggregates, the rubber aggregate concrete (RAC) was obtained. In addition, polyester and styrene-butadiene (SBR) polymers were added in the ratio of %1 and %2 of the cement volume into the obtained RAC mixtures. From the obtained mixtures, two different types of concrete were produced. These concretes are Rubber Aggregated Polyester Concrete (RPC) and Rubber Aggregated Styrene Butadiene Concrete (RSC). In the fresh concrete among the concrete samples produced; unit weight, slump, air measurement tests, on hardened concrete samples; Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) analysis was performed to determine the internal structure properties with unit volume weight, water absorption, freeze-thaw, compressive strength (3, 7, 28 and 90 days), split tensile strength (7 and 28 days) tests. As a result of the study, it was determined that the strength of rubber aggregate concrete (RSC-A1) samples containing %1 SBR gave better results compared to the other series. Keywords: Scannig Electron Microscape (SEM), Strength, Styrene butadiene, Waste tire.
