Özet (EN)
Smaller particles than 5 mm are identified as microplastics has a capacity of holding toxic organic dirties. Fish, grasshopper, birds, insectisides and smallest living creatures can swallow microplasts as a food which scatter around environment and water. So microplastics help poisonous dirties which are carried on food chain and cause living things to be effected in a negative way. This study, it is deal with microplastics which come to the wastewater refinery system are eliminated. With the active mud system, the samples which are from the entrance of active working wastewater, refinery system, the exit of sand holder and the exit of refinery, microplastics are examined. By the way of purpose of diving microplastics with the salt preparing, sailing, centrifuge, filtration, washing and drying methods are used. Microplastics are classified into its colour, its number. They are counted then polymer types are identified by microscope with ATR FT-IR equipment. It shows us the fact that, after the studies that has been made in Karaman Wastewater Treatment Plant the ratio of 57,51% of the microplastics in wastewater which is 8415 million microplastics daily, in the wastewater is discharging to clean water sources and polluting them. As a solution for microplastics, developing a unit that holds the synthetic fabric in washing machines and building a ultrafiltration unit to convantionel treatment plant can be made. Furthermore, studies like, ''increase the awareness'', to decrease the overuse of plastics with the taxes and deterrent punishments, promoting plastic reuse and recycle, prevent the waste on the source, waste minimisation etc. should be made for microplastics.
