Abstract (EN)

One of the specific contaminants in modern-day is the synthetic dyes. Dyes are used commonly in textile industry and also using of even a few amount dyes constitute colourful wastewater. Dyes should remove from waste-waters before discharging to receiving environment for prevent their negative effect on environment. Adsorption is the most widely method for removing dyes and it is preferred owing to low cost. The waste-water contains high concentration auxiliary chemicals, dye and salt which are not biological decomposition.In this study; Malachite Green (MG), Congo Red (CR) and Sirius Blue (SRB) dyes that can be used very commonly in textile wastewater, adsorption on bentonite and sepiolite were analyzed. In this study, concentration, pH, amount of adsorbent, stirring time, kinetic and temperature parameters were investigated and optimum conditions were determined.According to the results, bentonite and sepiolite clays are more suitable for MG, sepiolite is for CR and bentonite is more suitable for SRB.
