The impact of European Union financial aids as a public diplomacy tool in Türkiye-European Union relations

Over the decades public diplomacy has been an important tool for improving strong relationships between actors. Having the public support could be considered as a powerful asset in biliteral relations. Moreover, within the context of soft power public diplomacy is an highly important tool in order to keep a country in the others own perspective. In this matter European Union has been applying public diplomacy in its relations with Türkiye, and financial aids of European Union to Türkiye is an substantial asset. The aim of this study is to question the impact of European Union's financial aids as a public diplomacy tool in biliteral relations of Türkiye and European Union. This study is seeking for a new line of vision to tools that has been applied by European Union in its relations with Türkiye. In this case public diplomacy and its context with financial aids is a rare studied issue. Key words: public diplomacy, soft power, European Union, Türkiye, financial aids.
