The problemse of refugees live in Van in accordance with European Union negotiation

International and local treaties let to the people use their rights which came from their language, relagion, gender and ethnic background. Persons have rights to use these rights, come from born or later, without any restriciton in origin or 2. country as part of international laws. As an asylum seeker or refugee, he can use the same rights at the same rate as the origin country citizens do. But; these rights which under the protection of international and local laws can be declared void by the competent authorities legally or illegally. At that point the asylum seeker and refugee problems start.Turkey officially has started to EU membership negotiation on 3 October 2005. Few chapters was closed in this process. In the future, one of the chapters that Turkey has to harmony with the EU acquis communitaire is the refugee case. But; not having a commom refugee policy in even 27 EU countries shows that Turkey has a hard row to hoe. As Turkey is a bridge and a buffer zone between East and West, he is the hauntest point for the asylum seekers and refugees.In this study, having regard the Turkey?s geographical position and role, the problems of asylum seekers and refugees live in Van, one of the cities takes the application of asylum seeker and refugee most, will be analysed as sociological and tryed to bring the solution suggestions.
