Effects of flexicurity to labour market in member states of European Union and Turkey

At the present day, the globalisation process- which is finalised with developement and change of production and management styles, developement of technology, change of international competition, production, distribution, and capital flow- changes the economic and social structure of all world wide countries. As all the metamorphosises involve, the change in the economic and social structures? attributions and contents also involve lawful and instutional innovation. Thus, flexible employment model has been occured around the world. Measures that ensure security has to To reduce of flexible employment model?s negative effectsThis structure calls as flexicurity. Flexicurty has occured by atypical employment forms, polarization of employment, high unemployment, increasing participation of women to labour market, and sectoral and occupational changes in employment. Because of that each one of the countries on the world has different economic and social structure, flexicurity practices are different. But flexicurity pathway included in four components has been made for the Member States? attaining to flexicurity by the European Union.In this case, this thesis aim to define the flexicurity context, the developement of this context, and the practices of this context in the Member States of European Union. In the first chapter, flexicurity context is defined and the context?s development process and rationales are analised. In the second, in the intend of attaining flexicurity, the methods used and the programs that are enforced in accordance with European Union social models are discussed.
