Abstract (EN)
Nowadays the sports, business life, radio and television, clothing industry, marketing, and sales areas, while affecting the advertising and propaganda activities, international relations and many other areas of such areas are included in the domain. Sport considered as a social phenomenon, the European Union (EU) member states are the major actors that have caused the position and the place it has reached today. The birth of modern sports in Europe in the nineteenth century and in the early 20th century and in the same centuries, the implementation of international sporting organizations has emerged due to the influence of European countries. For this reason, the history of sport was evaluated within the social perspective by using general screening method in this study. With the Lisbon Treaty of 2009, the sport was officially recognized as one of the EU jurisdictions. Providing the creation of international sports organizations and modern sports, the effects of the EU on today's sports field are very strong.
